Night of Celebration

What. A. NIGHT! This year's Night of Celebration was one for the books. Special thanks to Pastor David Hughes and First Baptist Fort Lauderdale for hosting and to all who came out to worship the Lord and celebrate the many ways He has moved throughout the Church of South Florida this year and over the last 10 years of Church United.

Pastors David Hughes and Doug Sauder opened the night sharing how when we move from a mindset of competition to one of co-laboring, we view our people and our resources through the lens of the Kingdom, not just our kingdom - demonstrating how local churches banded together to support and revive the historic First Baptist Fort Lauderdale campus. Our own Allie Hix gave testimony to the transformative impact of the "Healthy Leaders, Thriving Churches, Flourishing Cities" model Church United has pioneered. Eddie Copeland and Pastor TJ McCormick then shared a special moment giving testimony to the change of heart posture leaders are experiencing towards one another for the sake of gospel unity in our region. Pastor Jon Lash shared a powerful message encouraging us to carry this spirit of unity with us daily, remembering that Christ is King and we are His ambassadors. Throughout the night, The Village Hymns led us in Spirit-filled worship and performed a song they wrote for this year's collective sermon series called "Jesus is King" - listen to it now on Spotify, Apple Music or Amazon Music

We have so much to celebrate and give God thanks for. These last 10 years have created an incredible foundation for the next 10 years. Thank you for being a part of this journey and joining us as we continue to come together in unity for the sake of Kingdom mission here in South Florida and beyond.
